Personal: I'm married to a very supportive, although slightly less enthusiastic runner than I. Alisha has run a little with me and participated in several 5k's, but mostly she supports me at races. She ran her first half in November, 2011. We have a son who was born in 2010, the year that I ran my first marathon. I participated in my first Triathlon in April 2011. I think I may have been bitten by the Ironman bug. Though an Ironman finish is a long term goal, I want to BQ first.

| | Cold day. 38 degrees with wind chill of 18. 17 mph winds. It snowed all day yesterday and all this morning. About half my trail was just wet, but the other half was covered in snow. Some areas were about 1 1/2 feet deep. I averaged 8m 34s miles. I'm looking forward to Tuesday when the high is 65. Hell, I'm looking forward to no more nasty cold snowy running days this year. I think today should be that last one.

New personal best tonight. 9 miles at 7 minute pace!
I had an awesome run tonight. I think I ate the perfect blend of calories today and, the nice weather did not hurt. I had cereal for breakfast. For lunch I had a trukey and lettuce wrap, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, string cheese, and granola fruit bar. I had some trail mix as an afternoon snack. I drank about 8 ounces of Gatorade before I left on my run at about 6:45. It was about 56 degrees with winds at 7 mph from the north east. My training schedule only called for an 8:45 pace. I was feeling really good tonight, and I looking to increase my training pace so I can get my time closer to 7:13 pace required for Boston. Actual pace: 7:00 per mile.
